Our comprehensive service includes everything you need to make an informed decision about your property.
We capture close, angled imagery to look for cracked tiles, displaced sheets, punctures, blisters, split laps and exposed fixings. These are common entry points for water and can worsen quickly in coastal wind.
We assess step flashings, apron flashings, parapet caps and wall-to-roof junctions where movement and sealant failure often start. These junctions are frequent leak sources on modern NewQuay-style designs.
We check gutter alignment, ponding, visible corrosion, blocked sumps and overflow provisions. If overflow points are compromised, water can back up under roof coverings and into internal ceilings.
We examine valleys for debris build-up and corrosion, and ridges/hips for cracking mortar, loose pointing or lifted caps. These areas take a lot of wind-driven rain and can fail before other roof sections.
We inspect around skylights, flues, vents and antenna mounts for deteriorated seals, loose collars and gaps. Penetrations are small but high-risk because water tracks along framing before it becomes visible.
Your report includes annotated images showing the exact location of each concern. That makes it easier to brief a roofer, compare quotes, or document issues for maintenance planning.

Yes. Many NewQuay 2 storey homes use parapets and concealed/box gutters where leaks can develop out of sight. Drone imagery lets us inspect gutter lines, overflow points, parapet caps and junctions from above and at angles that ground-level viewing can’t achieve. We can often identify debris build-up, ponding, rusting and failed sealant lines early, before they show as ceiling staining.
Properties close to the water can see faster deterioration of metal components due to salty air and frequent wind exposure. We commonly look for early corrosion on flashings and fixings, lifted edges, cracked sealants, and debris-driven blockages in gutters after windy weather. While every roof is different, these issues can cause intermittent leaks that only appear during specific wind and rain directions.
We visually assess downpipe connections, gutter outlets and obvious discharge issues where they’re visible from the roofline and external elevations. A drone assessment can flag misaligned outlets, signs of overflow staining and areas where water appears to back up. It doesn’t replace a plumbing test, but it’s an effective way to identify where a plumber should focus further investigation.
We can inspect the sections of roof that relate to your 2 storey property and any accessible adjoining areas visible during the flight, noting boundaries where roofs connect. In NewQuay, some townhomes share roof planes or have adjoining parapet walls, so we pay close attention to junctions and drainage transitions. If access requires strata approval, we’ll advise what’s needed before booking.
Waterfront areas can be gusty, and safe operation is essential for a quality inspection. If conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll reschedule to the next available window so the footage is stable and close-up details are clear. Where possible, we’ll still complete any ground-based observations and confirm a new time with minimal disruption to your plans.
