Coburg’s mix of older tiled homes and newer two-storey builds can hide roof issues at height—cracked tiles, tired pointing and hard-to-see flashing around extensions. A drone inspection captures the detail without ladders or scaffolding.

Our comprehensive service includes everything you need to make an informed decision about your property.
We capture detailed imagery across the main roof planes to identify cracked, chipped, slipped or missing tiles/sheets. This matters on 2 storey properties because small breaks can lead to water tracking into sarking, insulation and ceilings before the issue is visible from inside.
The drone lets us closely inspect ridge caps, bedding and pointing for gaps, hairline cracking and displaced sections. On older roofs common around Coburg, failing pointing is a frequent source of wind-driven rain entry and ongoing tile movement.
We assess valleys for corrosion, debris build-up and poor alignment, and check hips and junctions where roof lines meet. These areas collect water and leaf litter, so defects here can cause persistent leaks that are hard to trace inside a two-storey home.
We photograph and review flashing lines and terminations at penetrations and where additions meet the original roof. Poorly sealed or aged flashing is a common issue when Coburg homes have been renovated over time.
We look for sagging gutters, overflow staining, blocked sections and compromised downpipe inlets. On tree-lined Coburg streets, blocked gutters are a regular cause of water overflow onto fascia boards and into eaves.
We inspect around vents, flues and pipe penetrations for cracked seals, loose collars and damaged surrounds. These small components often fail first, and on a 2 storey property they’re difficult to see safely without aerial imaging.

Yes. Many Coburg homes have older terracotta or concrete tiles where cracks, slipped tiles and failing ridge pointing can be hard to see from ground level. A drone assessment captures close-up images across ridges, valleys and flashings so you can confirm whether issues are isolated maintenance items or signs of broader deterioration before you commit to repairs or a purchase.
Often, yes. Drone inspections are useful where ladder placement is awkward due to narrow setbacks, garages, or neighbouring buildings. We assess the site first and fly only when it’s safe and suitable, capturing the roof areas needed without relying on physical access to every side. If any limitations apply, we’ll explain what could and couldn’t be viewed.
You’ll receive a report with annotated photos showing the roof areas inspected and the issues found, such as cracked tiles, displaced ridge caps, debris in valleys, or flashing concerns. We outline why each issue matters, the likely consequence if left untreated, and practical next steps so you can prioritise repairs or request further investigation where required.
They can. Many Coburg properties have been extended or altered over time, which introduces junctions where new roof lines meet old ones. We focus on those transition points, checking apron flashings, box gutters (where visible), and termination details that commonly fail if workmanship was rushed or materials have aged. These are frequent sources of persistent, hard-to-locate leaks.
Strong winds, rain, poor visibility, or unsafe take-off/landing conditions can affect scheduling. Tree cover and nearby obstacles can also influence what’s practical on the day. If weather or site conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll reschedule to ensure image quality and safe operation, because a rushed flight can miss the fine detail needed for a reliable roof assessment.
