Stage 4 – Waterproofing / Fixing Stage Inspection in St Kilda

A fixing stage inspection covers all internal fixtures and fittings, including doors, skirting, architraves, cabinetry, and hardware. We assess installation quality, alignment, and compliance with building plans and standards. Any incomplete or defective work is noted in the report, ensuring issues are addressed before the next construction phase.

This inspection is vital because it catches workmanship defects and incomplete installations before walls are finished or painted. Addressing problems at this stage prevents costly repairs later and ensures your builder delivers the quality you've paid for. It safeguards your investment and avoids disputes at handover.

You’re not required to be onsite during the inspection, but you’re welcome to attend if you wish. Our inspectors are happy to walk you through any findings and answer questions. Regardless, you’ll receive a detailed report with photos and recommendations, so you’re fully informed.

We understand the importance of keeping your build on schedule. Our reports are typically delivered within 24 hours of the inspection. This prompt turnaround allows you to address any issues with your builder quickly, avoiding unnecessary delays in construction.

Absolutely. Our team can communicate directly with your builder or site supervisor to clarify any issues found during the inspection. We provide clear documentation and are available to discuss solutions, helping ensure that all defects are rectified to the required standard.
