Rowville’s leafy streets and gusty weather off the Dandenong foothills can push debris into valleys and reveal weak points around flashings—drone imaging checks the hard-to-reach roof areas on double-storey homes without ladders on steep pitches.

Our comprehensive service includes everything you need to make an informed decision about your property.
We capture close-up images across ridge caps, hip lines and field tiles to spot cracked, slipped or broken tiles, gaps in bedding, and early movement that can allow wind-driven rain into the roof space—common problem zones on taller Rowville homes.
We inspect metal valleys and roof junctions where extensions meet the original roof. These areas can trap debris and overflow in heavy rain, so we look for ponding marks, corrosion, lifted edges and debris build-up that can redirect water under tiles.
Drone imagery helps identify sagging gutters, overflowing points, gutter rust and debris loads along eaves that are difficult to view from the ground on a 2 storey property. We also check downpipe dropper connections where visible for signs of separation and staining.
We assess flashings around chimneys (where present), skylights, vent pipes and flues for lifting, cracking sealant and poor overlaps. These penetrations are frequent leak sources and are often missed without a close, overhead view.
For two-storey façades and gables, we examine roof-to-wall flashings and edge details (including barge areas) for gaps, loose sections and water tracking. These defects can cause hidden moisture entry behind cladding and into upper-floor walls.
You receive annotated photos that show exactly where issues are located, along with clear notes on severity and likely consequences (leaks, timber moisture risk, corrosion spread). This makes it easier to obtain accurate quotes and avoid unnecessary scope from contractors.

In Rowville, we often see leaf litter collecting in valleys and gutters, which can cause overflow and water tracking under tiles. On tiled roofs, cracked or slipped tiles and ridge capping movement are also common, especially after strong winds. We pay close attention to flashings around skylights, vents and roof-to-wall junctions where additions and pergolas meet the main roofline.
A drone roof assessment is a detailed visual inspection of external roof surfaces. It can identify likely leak entry points such as cracked tiles, lifted flashings, corroded valleys and overflow-prone gutters. It can’t confirm internal moisture levels on its own. If the imagery suggests active ingress risk, we’ll recommend targeted follow-up checks (for example, by a roofer or internal inspection of the roof space) to confirm the source.
Yes, we can visually assess the areas around solar arrays where accessible by line of sight. We look for debris build-up, tile damage near mounting points, and flashing or apron issues that can develop around panel edges. The drone can’t remove panels, so we can’t verify conditions beneath the array. If we see indicators of problems, we’ll note them and recommend the next practical step.
They can. Many Rowville streets have mature trees that shed leaves and small branches, which can quickly block valleys and gutters—especially on 2 storey roofs where maintenance is harder to keep up with. During heavy rain, blocked sections can overflow back into the roof system, affecting fascia edges, eaves and internal ceilings. A drone assessment helps identify these build-ups and overflow points early.
You receive a clear report with photo evidence and written notes that explain what was observed and why it matters. We identify visible defects, likely water-entry points, and areas that should be prioritised for repair or further investigation. The report is designed to help you brief a roofer accurately, plan maintenance, or support a pre-purchase decision with specific, roof-level detail.
