Drone Roof Assessment – 2 Storey Property in Narre Warren East

Yes. Many Narre Warren East homes sit on larger blocks with mature trees and roof areas that are hidden from street view. On 2 storey properties, it’s difficult and often unsafe to get close enough to ridges, valleys and rear elevations using ladders alone. A drone assessment provides close-up images of the entire roof so issues like cracked tiles, debris-choked valleys and lifted flashings aren’t missed.

We frequently identify cracked or slipped tiles, damaged ridge capping, debris build-up in valleys, gutter blockages, rusting at sheet edges, and flashing problems around penetrations. Drones are particularly useful for spotting patterns across a roof plane, such as repeated tile movement after strong winds or overflow staining that indicates gutters aren’t draining correctly.

A drone assessment is primarily an external inspection, so it won’t see hidden moisture under tiles or inside the roof cavity. What it does well is identify the common entry points that cause leaks—broken coverings, open laps, compromised flashings, blocked valleys and gutter overflows. If the images suggest a higher risk, we’ll recommend targeted follow-up such as an internal ceiling/cavity check or roofer investigation.

They can. Leaf litter and small branches often collect in gutters and valleys, especially where rooflines change direction around upper storey sections. This can force water to back up during heavy rain and increase the chance of leaks at junctions. Shaded roof sections can also stay damp longer, which may accelerate deterioration in certain roof materials and contribute to rust on metal components.

You’ll receive a practical summary of what was observed, supported by clear drone photos of key roof areas and any defects. We outline why each issue matters, how urgent it is, and what type of trade or repair is typically required. This makes it easier to obtain accurate quotes and to prioritise maintenance on your 2 storey property.
