Our comprehensive service includes everything you need to make an informed decision about your property.
We test selected accessible GPOs to confirm active/neutral aren’t reversed. Incorrect polarity can leave appliance internals live even when switched off, increasing shock risk and causing damage in fault conditions.
We visually assess the switchboard configuration and check the presence and operation of safety switches where accessible. Missing or non-functioning RCD protection can turn a minor fault into a serious injury risk, especially in kitchens, laundries and outdoor circuits.
We assess visible earthing arrangements and bonding indications that affect how faults clear. Poor earthing can stop protective devices from operating correctly, leaving metal appliances and fittings energised under fault.
We look for visible indicators of unsafe wiring such as damaged insulation, unsupported cabling, non-compliant joins, or heat-affected components in accessible sections. These issues can signal overloading, poor workmanship or age-related deterioration.
We confirm the presence of smoke alarms and note obvious placement concerns that can affect early warning. While full compliance verification may require additional checks, this step helps flag gaps that commonly appear after renovations or room reconfigurations.
You receive a clear summary of findings with priority levels—urgent hazards, recommended improvements and items for electrician follow-up. This keeps you focused on the issues most likely to affect safety, insurability and sale negotiations.

It can happen, particularly where outlets have been replaced, circuits extended, or DIY work has occurred over time. Polarity faults aren’t always obvious because everything may appear to “work”. Our assessment tests accessible outlets to confirm correct active/neutral orientation and highlights any results that warrant immediate electrician attention, especially in kitchens, laundries and outdoor areas.
Yes. We visually assess the switchboard setup and check for the presence and operation of safety switches where accessible. If devices don’t trip as expected, appear incorrectly configured, or if older fuses and missing RCD protection are observed, we’ll document it and recommend follow-up by a licensed electrician to confirm compliance and upgrade options.
No. An Electrical Safety Assessment is a targeted safety-focused inspection and testing approach designed to identify common hazards like polarity faults, missing protection and unsafe visible wiring indicators. Compliance certificates and electrical rectification work must be issued or completed by a licensed electrician. We provide clear findings and next steps so you know what to action and why.
Renovations often focus on finishes, while electrical work may be piecemeal—new appliances, downlights or extra outlets added to existing circuits. If polarity is incorrect or RCD protection is missing or not functioning, the risk remains regardless of how new the kitchen or bathroom looks. Our assessment helps confirm the safety basics that protect people and appliances.
Treat urgent findings seriously. Avoid using affected outlets or circuits, and arrange a licensed electrician promptly for rectification and verification testing. If the switchboard shows signs of overheating or a safety switch fails to operate, limit use where possible until it’s inspected. We’ll explain the immediate risk and outline practical steps to reduce exposure while repairs are organised.
